Quarterfinals Second Leg Tie Arsenal 2 CSKA 2, Arsenal in Semifinals

On April 12th, CSKA Moscow and Arsenal played the second leg game at the Arena CSKA. The two clubs were up against each other once again in the quarter-final stage of the 2018 UEFA Europa League. Arsenal had a first-leg advantage after crushing CSKA and ending the match with a 4-1 score. This Thursday, the London club had to put a lot of effort to end the game with a tie. Luck was apparently on Arsenal’s side, as the goal that secured the draw came in the 92nd minute of the game.

The match between CSKA and Arsenal started without much action. During the first 21 minutes of the game, Alan Dzagoev had a chance to provide a much-needed lead for CSKA. But the opportunity didn’t result in a goal, and Dzagoev soon left the field due to an injury. 22 minutes into the game, Golovin tried to score a goal for CSKA too, but the match result didn’t change until Fedor Chalov finally netted a goal for the Russian team at the 39-minute mark.

In the second half, Nababkin secured a 2-0 lead for CSKA five minutes after returning from a halftime break. At this point, the favourites of the best betting sites in the UK had to step up their game. Mohamed Elneny scored a goal seven minutes after the Russian club secured a two-goal lead. The goal was disallowed, but 18 minutes later Danny Welbeck helped Arsenal get back in the game after scoring a goal for his team. The second goal for Arsenal came in the penultimate minute of the game thanks to Aaron Ramsey.

After the game, Arsenal came out of the two games as the ultimate winner with a 6-3 aggregate victory over CSKA. The Gunners are now in the semi-finals, and they will face Atletico Madrid on April 26th.
