The 2018/19 Premier League season started a little over two weeks ago. Let’s take a quick look at how UK betting sites’ favourites and underdogs are ranking so far.
Ahead of the Premier League season, Ladbrokes predicted the outcome of the competition based on punters’ bets. According to their predictions, Liverpool are strong favourites to win the Premier League title. So far, Klopp’s men are meeting the expectations of being this season’s title holders. They’ve played three games so far and managed to defeat Brighton, Crystal Palace, and West Ham.
There are three more clubs that scored three consecutive wins so far. One of those clubs is Chelsea. Sarri’s squad started the season by defeating Huddersfield Town. They went on to defeat Arsenal and Newcastle United afterwards.
Watford’s performance this year is a pleasant surprise. Last season, Watford finished 14th in the Premier League. This season, on the other hand, they are at the top of the league with nine points and three wins.
Tottenham Hotspur is another club that managed to score three wins so far. They defeated Newcastle, Fulham, and Manchester United. Jose Mourinho’s men, however, are not leading the title race. Manchester United managed to secure a win over Leicester City only, whereas they’ve lost two matches.
For West Ham United, this season is not going particularly well either. The club already holds the record for the highest number of yellow cards. Pellegrini’s men are also the only team to suffer three consecutive defeats in the competition. This puts them at the bottom of the Premier League table with zero points.
Last year’s champions, Manchester City are currently at fifth place. City’s clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers ended with a draw, but they managed to defeat both Huddersfield Town and Arsenal.
It’s still early to predict the Premier League winner, but we'll keep you updated about the latest PL action.
